I began writing about six years ago after giving up my job as an A-level Psychology teacher to look after my three small children. I love being a mum, but I felt I wanted/needed something for myself, so I set about writing a couple of short stories and began a blog. I've always loved reading, but one evening, when I couldn't find anything I wanted to read, I decided to have a go at writing a book, the kind I like to read. Suddenly, I found myself transported into a whole new world and I couldn't stop! Tagan's Child was born. It was all I could do to not get up in the mornings and not switch on my laptop to carry on from where I had left off the night before, it felt as if the characters might carry on without me if I didn't. But my children need to eat, right? So once I'd given them their breakfast and packed them off to school, I sat down at my laptop and wrote. I liked teaching, but I had found something I LOVED! Since then I have written three more books to complete my four book Tagan Series.
